SCOTS ELECTORATE DELIVERS HUMILIATING DEFEAT TO UKIP
Only 3% of the entire Scottish electorate chose to endorse UKIP candidates in the European Elections.
Scots gave an unambiguous thumbs-down to UKIP policies in last Thursday’s ballot.
It is the worst defeat for any established party in the history of European Parliamentary Elections in Scotland, and in stark contrast to UKIP’s performance in England.
It thus dramatically underlines the widening gap between the views of Scottish and English voters on matters of immigration and membership of the EU.
In stunning contrast, the SNP beat all comers to top the poll though they are the incumbent party fully seven years in power.
